Thank you so much Mom. There are no words to express how grateful we are to you for making Kara's dress. GORGEOUS!!

Baby blessing time!!!...
Our sweet little Kara Faith was blessed on March 1st and it was AMAZING! I pretty much bawled through the entire blessing, and may I just say that the Priesthood is amazing. There were things that Honig said during the blessing that I didn't understand, but now after everything that happened with my Mom passing away, they completely make sense. We had a ton of family and our close friends there to watch and be a part of the blessing and it was so touching to see everyone sitting in the chapel and it just strenghtened testimony in eternal families.
On the way to the church. She was such a happy girl up until we were about 2 minutes away from the chapel.
I LOVE HER!
Look at that beautiful white dress.
Miss Chunka cheeks being happy that she's about to be getting her baby blessing.
Oh Adam. That Olekin lip fits you well. Kara looks scared.
I completely spaced on getting out our camera after her blessing and taking pictures with family. We took this after everyone had left and it was just Adam and Lisa and Joshua and Anika and Sean and Terryn and us chatting in the foyer for an hour and a half. I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures of family.
Kara's Oma made her blessing dress and it was absolutely gorgeous in every way. When she got it out to show us when she flew up from AZ, my mouth just dropped and I couldn't find any words to express my appreciation and awe because it was 1,000 times better than I had even imagined it. It is the most gorgeous baby blessing dress I have ever seen and I did some shopping around beforehand she offered to make it to see if there was anything I wanted to buy, and this dress she made blew them all out of the water. See? Martha Stewart but better.
A good cat lickin...
After our Vancouver visit, we went on up to Kristene's house (honig's sister) where Honig got a bath from their cat...

And then Kara got to meet her handsome Uncle Chase for the first time. She loves him.
Babies in Chase's future?! I THINK NOT! YOU'D BETTA GO ON YOUR MISSION FIRST BOY OR THERE'LL BE A WHOOPIN, NINJA STYLE!
Miss Buns needed mitten put on her hands because she was having a little too much fun scratching her face with her nails.
Awwww, look at those little pinkie star hands and she's just a smiling away.
Our daughter likes to roll baby gangsta style.
"Mommy, this isn't funny."
"I'll punch you with my star power if you don't take this off me RIGHT NOW!"
So Mommy will be gangsta instead and let Miss Buns eat my shoulder.
Kara meeting her Auntie M for the first time. They're buds.
I would just like to point out that there is the world's best food in this picture. Smartfood Cheesy Popcorn. Walmart bag on the counter. I'm drooling on my keyboard.
Awww, she loves her Oma (Honig's Mom) even though she's giving a little scowl in this picture.
Since Mommy can't cook, Kara will have to learn the art from Oma. She's Martha Stewart, but even better and felony free.
We even put a little apron on Kara so she could feel like a real cook while making dinner with Oma.
Striking a thoughtful pose with the fist under her chin.

Vancouver, WA leg...
So after we're done visiting with the Thorndizzles, we headed on over to Vancouver, WA to stay with my wonderful friend, Hannah, Honig had an interview in Vancouver the next day so we stayed up insanely late and chatted, crashed at her place, and then Honig got up and did his interview bit, Kara and I took a nap, we all visited and putzed around, and we went out to dinner, and then headed up to Covington, WA to go stay at our sister Kristene's house which she so graciously let us take over for a week and a half.

Hannah holding Kara for the first time.
Hannah kissing Kara for the first time.
Time to play catch up...
Honig, Kara, and I left on our cross country road trip in the afternoon on Feb 20th to head to Utah to see my Mom and sister and then on to WA for interviews for Honig. I have 40,000 pictures I could put on because I am a picture taking Nazi, but I am just selecting a few to picture document our trip.
(I've changed it to where I put the picture description above the picture instead of below it. I think I like it better that way. Just a test run so we'll see.)

Our sweet little Kara loving taking a carseat break on Iowa City. We didn't get too far before she decided she was hungry again.
We watched many a Simpsons DVD on our laptop.

So stinking cute!

The very first picture of my sweet Mom holding her lovely granddaughter.

An all too common Kara face.

Kara and Grandma Jackie.
And evil unpatient Aunt Pawny.

Ok, now Aunt Pawny loves Kara again. Kisses for everyone.

Honig pretty much lived on Pants' wireless laptop while we were at my Moms. And he took care of Kara while Pants and Mom and I cleaned. What a good Honig.

Awwww, Gwandma wuvs her baby. She wanted to keep her and she asked me several times if she could and then we could just go on to WA without her and pick her up on our way back through. Hmmm, not such a big fan of that idea, but thanks for the offer Mom.

Cute.
Duckbill face. And my sister is ADDICTED to Diet Coke. She can't kick it. She gets headaches if she tries. But we love her despite her addictions. Diet coke and heroin.

Happy #3 and happy #6.

Mom trying to calm a screaming Kara down while I ignore the screaming and pose for a picture.
The we left Utah on the 24th of Feb and headed on up to Grandview, WA to make a pit stop to see our wonderful friends, Chad and Ashleigh Thorndizzle. I happen to be madly in love with their children, Jayden was my surrogate child when they lived our here. We saw their awesome remodeled house, it's even more amazing in real life. And then we ate pizza and played 2 games of Settlers because we all needed to get our fix because none of our friends will ever play it with us. Sad that it takes up traveling 2,000 miles in order to play a game. Come on Iowa friends.
