1 year down, 2 and a half to go...

Dean is officially done with his first year of chiropractic school! He passed all his finals and passed all his classes as of Thursday and I am so incredibly proud of my handsome husband. This year has been killer, you can only really understand if you are a Palmer student or a Palmer spouse, but trust me, it has been. I look at the overwhelming amount of anatomy and science that he had to somehow memorize, and I just can't figure out how he did it. He is so driven to succeed, and I know he is going to be very successful one day.

It's 4 billion degrees outside today

It is so mother lovin' hot outside today, and all I want in this whole wide world is to go swimming in a chilled pool. Even the cruddy Mississippi River is starting to look inviting to take a dip in. But I will just have to splash around in my itty bitty bathtub instead.

My sister, Stumpy.

This is my sister. We call her Stumpy. She lost her right leg in a tragic accident at her work. She is a therapist at a live-in school for teenagers, and one day a disgruntled kid picked up a ficus tree, pot and all, and chucked it across the room and it shattered her knee. While in the hospital she developed gangrene and the Dr.'s had to remove her leg. If you look at the picture, you will see where her knee used to be. Poor Stumpy. But that girl has got heart. In that picture she had hopped her way on one foot all the way up a mountain to go see some caves. She has impeccable balance.

Finals!!!!!!!!!

Dean is officially on the homestretch of his 3rd trimester of Palmer. Hallelujah! Today he started his 1st round of finals, and they will continue on until next Thursday. He has to spend all night tonight and all day tomorrow studying for his PNS test on Monday. The test is worth 50% of his overall grade so I would be a bit worried about it too, but he will do just fine. He's so smart; he's just the type of guy who soaks up everything that is said in class. So let's hope he rocks the casbah on his tests and then we are off to Phoenix and then up to WA to see our friends!!!

straight to curly

Straight hair to curly-wavy hair all in 35 minutes. That's what I get for having 78 pounds of hair.

iChelle

Dean gave me present yesterday!!! Yup, I finally got a much coveted iPod which we have dubbed as iChelle. I all but did the happy dance in the middle of the store because I was so excited. It took me a phone call with Adam to figure out how to get everything going on it, but now I am rockin out all the time. Dean is the best. How can I not love that guy?!
